Since there was a wind storm on the coast that day and it was chilly and windy, we opted to visit the city of Girona. We left the car at le Devesa parking, just next to the parc of the same name and headed toward the statut of defender of Girona. It is located in a large square near the Onyar river. We crossed the bridge of St. Augusti near by. From that pedestrian bridge we could see multicolor buildings reflecting on the river. It’s amazing.
On the other side we explored the narrow streets of the old town. We navigated through the hill side streets toward the Cathedral and then up to the Alemany’s garden while avoiding stairs. I climbed to the top of a tower nearby and walked on the city walls. We followed the outside wall to go back down. We had a snack at a small restaurant near the university.
We crossed the Sant Felui Bridge to go back on the other side of the Onyar river and then explored La Devesa Park. Finally, our kid fell asleep at that point.
Not far from there, we saw an interesting presentation with music and a dancing horse. Not sure of the significance but we liked the music.
