Early on Sunday morning, we left humid Montréal. Our car was packed up to the roof, too much luggage as usual.  We drove towards Quebec City and then continued north along the north shore of the Saint Laurence river to Charlevoix region. We did a quick stop in Baie-St-Paul and Saint-Siméon where the weather was very nice. I discovered a nice view point over Saint-Siméon accessible from the rest area. It is hidden about 600 meters away from the parking area.

Then we arrived in Baie-Sainte-Catherine where a ferry allowed us to cross the Saguenay Fjord to Tadoussac. A mix of fog and light rain welcomed us.

We booked a room in a fishing and hunting club located a few minutes drive outside of Tadoussac. The room was spacious and we had a nice view on the lake.
