We had breakfast, packed our luggage and headed North to a town called Les Escoumins. We stopped for a whale watching cruise on the saint Laurence river. Their boat was completely covered with windows and a roof which is a good thing considering the water is 2°c and the temperature is 10°c colder than on the shore…

There was a lot of fog in the area where a group of whales was observed earlier in the day. We heard them breathing but could not see them. The captain then headed out of the fog closer to the shore to see many small rorqual whales.

We then drove to the ferry crossing from Les Escoumins to Trois Pistoles located on the south shore of the Saint Laurence river. It was a 90 minutes ferry ride.

After a quick grocery stop we arrived at the Cottage we will be staying in for the next 4 nights.
